How does the coaching work?
Our approach to coaching is based on a philosophy called future focused coaching.
If you're part of Leveraged Online, you'll have access to coaching every week via our ConneXpace virtual working space.
If you're a member of the full Leveraged program, you'll also have the ability to book 1:1 coaching sessions as and when they're needed.
The differentiator here is the focus of any coaching discussion will be less about what I call "did-you-do-your-homework" discussions, more about working on the next stages of your plan and what actions need to happen next.
At the end of every session, the goal is to distill the essence of what we've worked on into a clear set of actions, linked to the program resources needed to make it easier to progress.
Your role in this process is to act on those actions, ideally taking your first step in the 48 hours following our session, and implement until one of two things happen:
- You implement everything and it's time to sit down and work out what comes next, or\
- You get stuck and need help to get unstuck.
This approach is about not falling into the trap that I've seen happen way too much when the approach is to book a regular monthly session at the same time each month, which include:
- Waiting until two days before the upcoming session to finally sit down and work on your business, either rushing to get everything done or realising you underestimated the work required, or have forgotten the essence of what the action plan was,
- Relying on the negative side of accountability to drive your forward motion (e.g guilt), instead of learning how to implement effectively and being motivated to grow your business,
- Needing help with something sooner and waiting until the scheduled date to ask the question, thereby slowing down the rate of progress,
- Turning up at a session because it's booked (rather than it's needed) instead of investing time implementing instead,
As a coach, I've found the most positive conversation I have with clients is when we're talking about what comes next, rather than what did or didn't get done.
That's not to say you will be allowed to go incognito either. We have a system in the backend that monitors everything from members site logins, site visits, which content clients are/ aren't using, last email contact, time between sessions and more, and when we detect that implementation momentum may have slowed, we'll seek to engage you.
The point is that we don't want to ever actively create this situation where the catalyst for future progress is dependent solely on one person driving it, especially when that person isn't you.
