How much time would I need to commit?

As a general rule, if you can set aside a consistent average of 2-4 hours a week to work ON your business, you'll make great progress.

The way you approach it is as important as the time itself though.

  • It's 2-4 hours on average. Some weeks you may do 2, others you may invest a full half day. The next week you may only have an hour. The key here is the average, because it's about momentum. If you go 3-4 weeks without doing anything, you've got the problem of basically loosing the thread of what you're doing and almost having to start again.

  • It needs to be focus time. If you're sandwiching it in between meetings, or allowing email and phone calls to interrupt your flow, your 4 hours set aside will be more like 15-30 mins of actual progress work.

  • Block out the time and decide where you work and what you do and don't take with you. Do you really need your email open and your phone next to you? Maybe there is a better space to work than the office.

  • Respect your own commitment. If you block out time but in truth treat that time like something that clients or your team can book over the top of, or something that can be moved around at will, it's a reflection of the true importance you're placing on the work itself. It's your choice to do that, but understand that it's a choice that will impact whether you achieve the outcome(s) that motivated you to join the program.
